The Spirit Of Masonry

Square and Compass

"The Aspirant who sets his hand to the plough, turns not back when the toil in the darkness begins, but works on, awaiting the dawn."

Square and Compass

"Some enjoy every social comfort, and never exceed the bounds of mediocrity, and others have the satisfaction of administering to the wants of the indigent and industrious who are incapable of providing the necessities of life unless aided by cheerful and ready assistance." ~ Emulation 265

Square and Compass

“More the Knowledge, Lesser the Ego,
Lesser the Knowledge, More the Ego” ~ Einstein

Square and Compass

“We are no longer spectators, for we have stepped into the light,
a light that can uplift as it can equally destroy.”

An Introspection

For the individual who knows how and when to advance beyond the appearances which at times seem discordant and contradictory and reaches the central nucleus of a proposed concept and/or theory, it must not be difficult to encounter profound parallelisms among Traditions which emanate from the same fountain.

Thus, it is with minimum or no effort that we can realize how Freemasonry shares so many essential tenets, attributes, and characteristics with other socio-cultural movements which have emerged all throughout the history of mankind; Movements which in the form of academies,  private associations, clubs, congregations, guilds and corporations united and still unite “men and women of good repute and customs” who labor incessantly in the construction of their Inner Temples.
